Pua Pikake. Pikake is a favorite lei throughout Hawai'i. This flower was named by the Princess Ka’iulani, The last princess of Hawaii. Ka’iulani’s memory and her mystique is irrevocably linked with one of the favorite scents of the islands. This is an exotic heady jasmine, and it's beautiful scent surrounded the gardens where her peacocks roamed. Pikake is the Hawaiian word for both "Chinese jasmine" AND for a "peacock", This fragrance imparts a long lasting, romantic, alluring scent, reminiscent of an island escape. |
